Adaptive Conservation is a strategy, not a deficit. Under sustained strain, the system shifts toward minimum viable expenditure — narrowing engagement, reducing initiation, deferring non-essential investment.
Read as laziness, this adaptation is misread. Read as conservation, it is doing exactly what it is engineered to do.
Reversal does not come from increased demand. It comes from restored conditions that allow the system to relax conservation safely.
